Magic is real. I can touch it and command it and I need no faith for it to fill me up inside. If you are looking for your higher power, there it is.
And as the last two surviving Grey Wardens of Ferelden, they stood together, strong and unnerved, hands bloody and hearts full of sorrow. Both were determined to unravel the corruption they had witnessed, each with a mouth full of crimson, a reason burning in their gut and a quirk to their lip. They travelled miles upon miles, meeting other souls upon the way, but the bond they shared was only for them, and as they healed each others hearts and dressed their wounds, they fell in love, deeply, passionately, like a fever snaking through their veins. Fate had many to answer to, for it had brought them so much trouble, so much death, but with this, with the quickening of hearts and midnight stolen kisses, they each gave thanks, and were silently grateful, as a love like theirs was as rare as a happy ending.
